On May 3, 2003, the day the Old Man of the Mountain collapsed in Franconia Notch, a community summit was being held in Colebrook to decide on new projects for the region. It was at that summit that the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts was conceived.

If you enjoy retro-Rock music from the 1960s and ’70s and like to dance, the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts invites you to the Colebrook Country Club on Saturday, May 12. That night local favorites Rock On will be turning out the hits from yesterday.
Simon and Garfunkel stand as among the most iconic popular performing duos of all time. Their memorable music will be celebrated when the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts brings to Lancaster the British duo Bookends, the leading tribute performers celebrating the songbook of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. The show will be co-sponsored by the Fife Family.
The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts is proud to host once again the Celtic step champions The Gothard Sisters in a return trip to Colebrook on Tuesday, April 10, at 7 p.m., at the Monadnock Congregational Church on Main Street. This will be the third visit for the three sisters to town since 2014. Their latest visit is co-sponsored by Dr. Nathan Drum.
The acoustic jazz ensemble, The Rhythm Future Quartet, will be bringing the best in Gypsy jazz music to the area when they perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, at Grace Community Church in Canaan, Vt. The concert is hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts, which is known for bringing hundreds of top-flight entertainment to the region.
The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts is bringing back to Colebrook the well–known New England band Low Lily. The group, which identifies itself as performers of “American roots and branches,” will be appearing at the Colebrook Country Club on Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.–almost two years to the day since their last visit to the area.

The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts presents the annual TubaChristmas at Trinity United Methodist Church on Bridge Street in Colebrook on Saturday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. This free public concert has become a beloved tradition in the Colebrook community. The Methodist church is the perfect setting for the glorious sounds of tubas, euphoniums and baritone horns.
Bob Amos & Catamount Crossing will be in Lancaster at the Rialto Theater on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. Hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts, this popular Bluegrass and Old-Time music band will provide a night of top-flight music. The event is co-sponsored by EXIT Realty Trailblazers.
The fall Great North Woods Committee for the Arts concert series at the Colebrook Country Club kicks off at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 with the Nordic Fiddlers Bloc. The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc is a fiddle trio from Norway, Sweden and the Shetland Islands who swiftly gained a reputation for their gripping and unique blend of fiddle music since their inception in early 2009.
