The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts is hosting two duos of noted musicians in Colebrook at 7 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the Monadnock Congregational Church. Co-sponsored by LaPerle’s IGA of Colebrook, “Double Duo” features the talents of Natalie Haas, Yann Falquet, Maeve Gilchrist and Nic Gareiss. Their performance will highlight Celtic and Quebecois music on cello, harp and guitar, with Nic Gareiss providing some authentic step dancing.
Get on your Rock and Roll shoes–it’s time to boogie on down. The Colebrook Country Club will be the place to to be when one of the region’s premier retro rock bands comes center stage later this month. The band Rock On will get the whole place jumpin’ beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27.
Canadian and American folk music will weave together beautifully under the skilled musicianship of the Bombadils when this young trio makes its first North Country appearance together at the Colebrook Country Club at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, presented by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts.
The tubas are back. The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts presents the annual TubaChristmas at Trinity United Methodist Church on Bridge Street in Colebrook. TubaChristmas takes place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17. This free public concert has become a beloved tradition in the Colebrook community. The Methodist church is the perfect setting for the glorious sounds of tubas, euphoniums and baritone horns.
Christmas arrives in fine form next weekend when the Fireside Fiddlers bring their brand of old-time fiddlin’ to the Colebrook Country Club with a holiday twist. The Fireside Fiddlers, who have built up a regional following with their appearances everywhere from the Lancaster Farmers Market to the Moose Festival, come in from out of the cold to warm up the night with a host of Christmas classics mixed in with their familiar takes on mountain and old-time tunes popular on both sides of the border.

The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts will be presenting a return appearance of musicians Alan Reid and Rob van Sante on Friday, Oct. 21 at the Colebrook Country Club. The show will start at 7 p.m.
Alan Reid and Rob van Sante present a lively show rooted in the music of Scotland, its rich history and varied landscape providing much of the inspiration for their material. Seamless harmonies underpinned by sensitive arrangements on piano, guitars and accordion are topped by an engaging delivery peppered with dry humor and pithy anecdotes. Their latest album, “Rough Diamonds,” is currently showcasing on their regular tours of North America and and Europe.
The Camerata New England piano quartet, hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts, will perform in concert on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m., in the Tillotson Center theater in Colebrook. This is an opportunity to hear some beautiful music during the crisp fall season for classical music aficionados.
Singer-songwriter Anni Clark will be returning to northern New Hampshire on Saturday, Sept. 24 in a concert hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts. The concert will take place in the Colebrook Country Club on Rte. 26 at 7 p.m.
“Always popular with our audiences, this will be the third time the GNWCA has hosted Anni in Colebrook,” said GNWCA President Charlie Jordan. “We brought her here in 2012 and again in 2014. People have been asking for her again.” Anni, who lives in Maine, has built up an area following by her past appearances at the Balsams Resort Hotel. She returns to the North Country with her engaging singer-songwriter blend of folk, pop and blues.
