The concert, which is being co-sponsored by North Country Medical & Wellness, is slated to begin at 7 p.m. on what is known as Moose Festival Sunday. “The GNWCA has a long-standing tradition of featuring an evening of music on this wrap-up night of the North Country Moose Festival and we’re delighted to be able to showcase these two North Country favorites on this special night,” Jordan said.
Hallie, who lives in Pittsburg, has been winning over local audiences with her soulful interpretations of classic Rhythm and Blues songs, as well as her original compositions. In 2012, Hallie appeared in Season 11 of the national TV program “American Idol.” Hallie has been singing for as long as she can remember. She grew up watching her mother perform as a professional opera singer and teach voice lessons from their home. Hallie’s true passion is writing and creating songs. She wrote her first song when she was 11 years old and has been writing and performing ever since.
“For the Colebrook Country Club show, I’ll be featuring some of my original songs and telling the stories behind them,” she said this week, explaining in the process the inspiration that goes into writing a song. She said she will also dust off some cover tune that have help make her so popular with her fans.
Kyle Haley lives in Stratford and is by profession a primary school teacher. He and his wife Britni are expecting their first child any day now. In what spare time he has, he turns to music, fully capable of putting on a dynamic show in his own right. Teamed with Hallie, the duo produce an irresistible blend, with his guitar accompaniment capturing the soulful and whimsical intonations of Hallie’s vocals. “You won’t want to miss this intimate evening of wonderful music,” said Jordan.
