Musician Katie McNally will bring her group, the Katie McNally Trio, to the area on Saturday, Nov. 7, in a coffeehouse concert hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts. The concert will be held in the gallery of the Tillotson Center on Carriage Lane at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 general admission and are available in advance at Fiddleheads on Main Street in Colebrook or at the door on the night of the concert.

Colebrook will hold the distinction on Tuesday, Oct. 20, of being the first U.S. audience to hear selections from one of Toronto’s most exciting new group’s first full-length CD, “Finding Anyplace.” The Colebrook appearance will come one day after the new album makes its debut at a CD release party in Montreal.

The Fretless is a new approach to folk music that is quickly gaining high acclaim around the world. This unique band is taking string music to fascinating places as it transforms fiddle tunes and folk melodies into intricate, beautiful, high-energy arrangements. The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts (GNWCA) is hosting a coffeehouse concert with piper Dick Hensold on Sunday, Sept. 20, in the first-floor gallery at the Tillotson Center in Colebrook at 7 p.m.
The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts is excited to be hosting a return visit to Colebrook when Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas perform on Sept. 17. The concert will be held in the Tillotson Center at 7 p.m.; admission is $15. Fraser and Haas were last in Colebrook in September 2013. Fresh from their successful play “Boeing-Boeing, the Carriage Lane Players will present “Steel Magnolias” next month at the Tillotson Center theater in Colebrook. The comedy-drama, written by Robert Harling, will run on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m., Sept. 12 at 2 and 7 p.m., and one week later, on Sept. 19, at 2 and 7 p.m. Admission to the show is $15 per person.
Fans of bluegrass, grassroots and mountain music are in for a real treat this month as the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts brings two great nights of music to the Tillotson Center in Colebrook. On Friday, Aug. 21, performer Alex Smith from upstate New York performs mountain music in the Tillotson Center gallery. Then on Sunday, Aug. 30, Bob Amos and Catamount Crossing from Vermont will cap off Moose Festival Weekend with a rousing night of bluegrass. Both shows begin at 7 p.m. and tickets are now on sale.
The band Cantrip is returning to Colebrook for a concert hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts. The band is a leader in Scottish music, playing at festivals and venues throughout Scotland and the United States for over a decade now. The concert will be held on Tuesday, July 28, at 7 p.m. at the Tillotson Center in Colebrook.
