The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts is sponsoring Camerata New England, a highly esteemed professional chamber ensemble, in its return to the North Country on Saturday, Oct. 5, with a Brahms concert. The performance will be held at 7 p.m. in the Monadnock Congregational Church on Main Street in Colebrook.

The North Country is looking forward to the return of musician April Verch—whose performance at the Tillotson Center in Colebrook on Monday, Sept. 23 marks the third show for Verch in Colebrook in as many years. The upcoming event promises will give her fans a chance to hear the latest tunes from this internationally known Canadian fiddler, step dancer and singer-songwriter.

One of the most highly acclaimed musicians in the world, Alasdair Fraser, is bringing his fiddle and his musical partner, Natalie Haas, with her equally acclaimed cello music, to Colebrook on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. to the Tillotson Center in downtown Colebrook, N.H..
 Award-winning Vermont movie director Jay Craven will present his newest film, “Northern Borders,” at a special screening at the Tillotson Center for the Arts on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. The movie, filmed primarily in the Northeast Kingdom, is hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts. Craven will be on hand to introduce the picture and lead a post-film discussion following the screening.
