​Get ready for an intimate night featuring two of Cape Breton’s most renowned fiddlers as Andrea Beaton and Wendy MacIssac bring the sounds of Nova Scotia to Colebrook for a coffeehouse concert beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31.

Sponsored by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts, this is a rare opportunity to hear traditional Cape Breton fiddle played in at its most dynamic best. The GNWCA coffeehouse at the Tillotson Center has been bringing some of the world’s best musicians up close and personal in this series and this night will be especially memorable as Beaton and MacIssac are joined by much-in-demand guitarist Eric McDonald.

​“If you love excellent choral music performed by young voices, you’ll want to be sure to catch this show,” said Great North Woods Committee for the Arts President Charlie Jordan. “And if you appreciate the quality of shows the GNWCA has provided the North Country over the past six years, we’d especially appreciate seeing you, as this show is a fundraiser that will help with costs in continuing to bring these shows.”

It’s the annual return to Colebrook by the talented St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltones, as well as the St. Johnsbury Academy Jazz Band. This year’s concert is set for 7 p.m., Friday, May 27, at the Tillotson Center.
