Two featured performers from the Colonel Town Players—Dennis MacKay and Susan Lahout—are bringing the two-person play “Love Letters” to the Colebrook area on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m., in the Tillotson Center on Carriage Lane in Colebrook. The play is sponsored by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts.

The Great North Woods Committee for the Arts will present Alan Reid and Rob van Sante in their return concert to the region on Wednesday, Oct. 30. These legendary Scottish singers will perform at the Moose Muck Coffee House on Parsons Street in Colebrook, which will prove to be an ideal setting for their “coffee house” balladeer style.
For piano soloist and composer Cody Michaels, “the piano is a way to connect with the mystery of creation and every song is a prayer”. A former US Forest Service ranger and Appalachian Trail caretaker, Cody's unique musical expressions inspire comparisons to the likes of Beethoven, George Winston, Keith Jarrett and Phish's Page McConnell. Also a dynamic storyteller and poet, his mesmerizing performances celebrate natural wonder, simple living, and human potential.
Award-winning Vermont movie director Jay Craven will present his newest film, “Northern Borders,” at a screening at the Rialto Theatre on Main Street in Lancaster on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. The movie, filmed primarily in the Northeast Kingdom, is hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts. Craven will be on hand to introduce the picture and lead a post-film discussion following the screening.
