It’s the annual return to Colebrook by the talented St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltones, as well as the St. Johnsbury Academy Jazz Band. This year’s concert is set for 7 p.m., Friday, May 27, at the Tillotson Center.
Under the gifted guidance of their instructor, Alan Rowe, these young people have been headliners at First Night in St. Johnsbury and win fans wherever they go. They sing everything from show tunes and gospel to pop and beyond. And as an added bonus the St. Johnsbury Academy Jazz Band accompanies the group members during their Colebrook appearance. “These young people will wow the audience, no question about it,” Jordan said.
Students are encouraged to attend the show, to see firsthand their peers as they share the sheer joy of music. If you’ve never seen the Hilltones, you are in for a treat, whatever your age. If you have seen them before, bring along a friend or family member this time–children and grandchildren especially will be glad you did. “The GNWCA prides itself with family-friendly shows and the Hilltones is a great night out for the whole family.”
Tickets are available at Fiddleheads, 110 Main St., Colebrook, or at the door. General admission prices for the night are: adults, $15; students, $12; children under 12, $5.
