The Fireside Fiddlers have put together a roster of everyone’s favorites for their Country Club show, from “Joy To The World” and “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing” to “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” These will be mixed in with popular fiddle tunes such as “St. Anne’s Reel,” “Old Joe Clark” and Red Wing.”
The Fireside Fiddlers were formed by area fiddler Patrick Ross, who rounded up all the regional fiddlers he knew. After Ross moved from the immediate region, the group was headed up by a talented Wales native, Dick Rosser, who kept the group going through his strong leadership. The group has released three CDs, including “The Fireside Fiddlers Christmas Album” (2013). This album and the group’s brand new CD, “The Fireside Fiddlers Live!” (2016) will be on sale at the Country Club concert.
Performing at the Colebrook show will be fiddlers Joyce Ball, Paul Cormier, Terry Churchill, Lyndall Demers, Gordon Gray and Charlie Jordan, with Roland Cotnoir on guitar, Tom Bishop on banjo and JoAnne Gilman on bass.
Tickets are available at Fiddleheads, 110 Main St., Colebrook, or at the door. General admission prices for the night are: adults, $15; students, $12; children under 12, $5.
