Johanna is the general music and chorale teacher serving area schools and Sharon is her accompanist. Sharon is a well-known area pianist who has been featured in many local musical productions over the years. She is a past president of the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts and during her tenure she developed the Winter Warmers series as a GNWCA fundraiser–now in its eighth year.
“We are so happy to have Johanna and Sharon return this year to the series with what promises to be a memorable night of music,” said GNWCA President Charlie Jordan. “Also we continue to appreciate the generous support shown the GNWCA and community arts by Clay and Michelle Hinds and the entire staff of the Colebrook Country Club. It remains our longest association with an area venue and one we look forward to returning to whenever we have an opportunity.”
The $15 ticket price not only gets you a seat at the show, but gives you free access to the Country Club’s goodies table available during the evening. The Colebrook Country Club is about a mile from Main Street on Route 26 in Colebrook. Advance tickets are for sale at Fiddleheads, 110 Main St., in Colebrook, and at the door on the night of the concert.
And be sure to put Monday, March 17, on your calendar as the GNWCA Winter Warmer Series features a great night of Irish and Celtic music on St. Patrick’s Day at the Colebrook Country Club. The featured performers will be Islay Mist Ceilidh, a regional ensemble which will get you kicking up your heels to jigs, reels and more. Special this year will be a sing-along with the audience of a host of familiar tunes from the Emerald Isle. You won’t want to miss it!
