Singer-songwriter Anni Clark will be returning to northern New Hampshire on Saturday, Sept. 27, during the launch of a brand-new coffeehouse concert series to be hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts. The series will take place in the first floor gallery at the Tillotson Center on Carriage Lane (next to the Colebrook Post Office on Rte. 26), starting at 7 p.m.
Anni, who lives in Maine, has built up a local following by her past appearances at the Balsams Resort Hotel and was hosted by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts at a concert on Dec. 1, 2012, held at the Colebrook Country Club. She returns to the North Country with her engaging singer-songwriter blend of folk, pop and blues.
With many awards to her name already, Anni Clark was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year in the Texas Music Awards, based on her newest CD “Anni Clark LIVE.” Recorded at the rustic and intimate Deertrees Theatre in Harrison, Maine, the disc showcases 15 of Anni's most requested songs. With over two decades of fulltime touring and seven successful recordings under her belt, Anni’s passion for communication through music continues to build a widespread and loyal audience.
Anni has won fans nationwide with her captivating voice, mindful lyrics and excellent guitar playing. Anni supports her strong melodic vocals with both six- and 12-string guitars to create infectious performances that blend her brand of music with a dash of Maine humor thrown in for good measure.
“We are excited to have a performer of Anni’s stature help launch our new coffeehouse at the Tillotson Center,” said Great North Woods Committee for the Arts President Charlie Jordan. “We are currently putting together an exciting roster of coffeehouse concerts for the coming year. While we will continue bringing big-name performers and groups to the full theater at the the Tillotson Center, this added venue will also allow us to host more intimate concerts featuring mainly single, double and trio acts. As an added bonus, the GNWCA will be working with the Tillotson Center Committee to provide a selection of food and beverages available for purchase during these shows in the gallery. Each show will provide the audience with a chance to see some top performers up close and in a relaxed setting.”
Tickets for Anni Clark’s concert are $15 and will be on sale at Fiddleheads, 110 Main St., Colebrook, as well as at the door on the night of the show. The concert is sponsored by the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts, which has earned a reputation of bringing a high level of quality entertainment to local music fans at reasonable prices.
