It is a commitment to avoid what is easy and predictable that fuels Mile Twelve’s continued march forward. Bluegrass Today says, “The Boston-based group has been making noise in bluegrass with their virtuosic approach to the music, clever songwriting and arrangements, a nose-to-the-grindstone attitude, and a youthful energy that appeals to all age groups.” Tim O’Brien calls them “a group to watch in the coming decade.
Band members include Evan Murphy on guitar, David Benedict on mandolin, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on fiddle, Nate Sabat on bass and BB Bowness on banjo.
“Our audience is going to love getting introduced to Mile Twelve,” said GNWCA President Charlie Jordan. “Their energy and youthful flair is sure to make for a great night in music on the Rialto stage.”
The show is co-sponsored by Pride Builders. It all gets underway at 7 p.m., with tickets ($15) available at gnwca.org (click on “upcoming events”), at the Rialto Theater on 80 Main St. in Lancaster, or at Fiddleheads on 110 Main St., in Colebrook.
