“We are delighted to have established this summer partnership with Monadnock Congregational Church to host the Harp Twins on July 11,” said Great North Woods Committee for the Arts President Charlie Jordan. The Harp Twins, who will be appearing at 7 p.m., won over a local following last year when sisters Camille and Kennerly Kitt brought their remarkable harp stylings to town under the auspices of the GNWCA. The concert is co-sponsored by LaPerle’s IGA.
The Kitt twins made their Hollywood film debut as the Merry Christian Twins in the feature film “Politics of Love” as actors, soundtrack writers, and soundtrack performers (harp and vocal). Camille and Kennerly have been cast as principal roles in several commercials. They are both Third Degree Black Belts in Taw Kwon Do and are former Tae Kwon Do instructors. The twins are also “Distinguished Experts” in rifle marksmanship and are trained in horseback riding. They were competitive swimmers for many years as children. Camille and Kennerly graduated “Summa Cum Laude” (with highest honors) from the prestigious Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College, both with a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance.
“You’ll definitely want to come to hear and meet these talented young women during their Colebrook appearance,” Jordan said.
Tickets are $15 and available at Fiddleheads, 110 Main St., Colebrook, online at www.gnwca.org or at the door. For more information on this and other GNWCA shows, find the Great North Woods Committee for the Arts on Facebook, visit www.gnwca.org or you can call 237-9302 or 246-8998.
